LOUPES FEATURE INTEGRATED CAMERA AND HEADLIGHT
Set to debut at IDS Germany in Cologne, scheduled March 14–18, Admetec (admetec.com) will launch the industry’s first integrated high-definition (HD) camera and headlight for dental loupes. The lightweight Flamingo combines modern tech and ergonomic-friendly positioning, allowing dentists to easily film their work in real time. These recordings can be used for instructional or promotional purposes, as well as for patient consultations. With Admetec’s propriety software, HD video can be streamed via Wi-Fi to laptops and other screens, and screenshots can be autosaved for real-time documentation. As a battery-powered camera and headlight system, the Flamingo brings a wide array of clinical benefits, including a headlight beam that’s focused to prevent users from obstructing their own light, as frequently occurs with traditional operatory lighting. Offering both convenience and ease of use, the Flamingo’s camera and light connect to a dual battery and control panel system via a single lightweight cable, which further reduces weight.
