Lawsuit Ensures New Yorkers on Medicaid Will Receive Dental Care

While state Medicaid programs are not required to cover oral healthcare, if they do provide reimbursement, they must cover all facets of dental care, even the most expensive treatments such as implants and endodontic therapy. The state of New York has learned this the hard way after a class action lawsuit filed in 2018 recently found that the state Medicaid program must pay for all types of medically necessary dental care. This judgment on the synergistic relationship between oral and systemic health will enable more than 5 million New York residents covered under Medicaid to receive the dental care they need to maintain their health, obtain employment, and support their well-being.  Click here to read more.
