Dentists Restore Roars of Exotic Cats
The Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation returned to In-Sync Exotics in Wylie, Texas, to provide crucial dental care to four tigers. This partnership highlights the importance of addressing dental issues in big cats to ensure their health and comfort.
The Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation (PEIVDF) recently revisited In-Sync Exotics, a sanctuary in Wylie, Texas, to perform vital dental procedures on four tigers. This nonprofit organization, founded by Peter Emily, DDS, in 2005, focuses on the dental health of domestic and captive animals worldwide. The procedures, performed by Charles Dyer, IV, DDS, MS, and Barron Hall, DVM, FAVD, DAVDC, targeted specific dental issues in tigers Holiday, Pasha, Kali, and Kabul. These majestic creatures received comprehensive dental examinations and treatments, such as root canals, tooth extractions, and prophylaxes. These dental interventions are essential for the well-being of the cats. Regular monitoring by keepers and timely interventions by the PEIVDF team ensure that the big cats live comfortably, free from dental pain. This collaborative effort continues to safeguard the health of these exotic felines, allowing them to thrive in their sanctuary. Click here to read more.
