First Colgate COHAs Care™ Day of Learning and Giving

 

New York, New York September 3rd – Dental Hygienists are critical partners that share Colgate-Palmolive’s commitment to help patients achieve optimal oral health. As part of its continued commitment to improving oral health in the community, Colgate-Palmolive held its first COHAs Care™ Day of Learning and Giving prior to the start of the RDH Under One Roof Meeting in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.

Thirty Registered Dental Hygienists from across the United States participated in this continuing education and community outreach program. The morning consisted of 3 hours of free continuing education. The CE presentations from Colgate Scientists featured the latest science on topics important to the dental hygienist including Enamel Health, the Science inside Toothpaste, and Access to Care for Children.

In the afternoon, the hygienists traveled to the UNO Charter School in Chicago where they provided dental screenings and brought oral health education to over 500 elementary school children with the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program.

The COHAs Care™ Day of Learning and Giving is a new component of the well-established Colgate Oral Health Advisor Program. This complimentary, innovative program offers educational benefits exclusively for the dental hygienist.
