Meg D. Atwood, RDH, MPS, is an associate professor at Orange County Community College, Department of Dental Hygiene, in Newburgh, New York, where she has taught for 30 years. She teaches didactic and clinical courses, including maxillofacial anatomy and oral histology, oral health education, and community dental health. Atwood has a special interest in public health, which has led to her involvement in community water fluoridation and other public-health initiatives. She serves on the leadership team of the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy and works with the New York State Department of Health on community water fluoridation promotion activities.
