Katherine Kula, MS, DMD, MS, is chairperson and graduate program director

of the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics at

Indiana University School of Dentistry. She is dually trained in orthodontics and

pediatric dentistry and has taught for more than 30 years. Kula is actively

involved in the orthodontic treatment of children and adults, especially those

with craniofacial anomalies, such as cleft lip and palate. She received the

Endowed Jarabak Professorship and has published more than 50 peerreviewed

articles and authored nine book chapters. Kula's current research

interests include three dimensional imaging of the craniofacial complex,

including both hard and soft tissue, and its application to growth and development;

orthodontic treatment outcomes; and oral function.
