Elizabeth Velan, DMD, MSD, is the graduate program
director for pediatric dentistry and clinical assistant professor in the

Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington

(UW). She is the chief of education and resident training at Seattle

Children's Hospital, where she focuses on medically complicated and

craniofacial patients. Her research interests include medically complicated

and craniofacial pediatric patients; dental materials; providing dental

treatment for children in a hospital setting; and pediatric dental trauma

in a hospital emergency department.
