Daniel M. Laskin, DDS, MS, is a professor and chairman emeritus of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in Richmond. He is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon and educator who has contributed to the field for more than 50 years. Laskin is a former president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
