Santander Bank Grants $3000 to Free Dental Care Program

Santander Bank supports free dental care for children in Philadelphia with grant award to Kids Smiles

August 28, 2014 – Philadelphia, PA – Santander Bank presented Kids Smiles with a grant award for $3,000 to support the organization’s Grin & Share It program which provides free dental care to children with limited or no insurance. Kids Smiles CEO Cheryl Janssen and Kids Smiles Board of Directors Chairman Craig Circosta were on hand to receive the award from District Executive Trang Balchunas and Branch Manager David Storione of Santander Bank.

“With the generous support of Santander Bank, we anticipate that more than 2,000 Philadelphia children will benefit from free clinical services in the coming year. We are grateful for this acknowledgement and even more grateful for the children in our community who will benefit from Santander Bank’s gift,” said Ms. Janssen.

The Grin & Share It program was launched in 2011 to provide free care to uninsured children once a month. Additionally, the program covers the cost of essential services that are not covered by some insurance providers, effectively eliminating a tough financial decision that a parent may face when it comes to the wellbeing of their child. Since its launch, Grin & Share It has provided more than 6,500 children with free care totaling more than $400,000.
