Marquette Lands $1 Million Grant to Support Special Care Dentistry
Wisconsin’s only dental school, the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, received a $1.02 million grant from the United States Health Resources and Services Administration. The funds will enable the school to expand its capacity to treat patients with special needs who face barriers to accessing dental care in traditional private practices. The school treats more than 5,000 patients with special needs, including adults who have aged out of the state’s public health insurance coverage for children. The Marquette University School of Dentistry also trains its dental students to provide care to special-needs populations. Click here to read more.
