IUN Hosts Dental Camp
Indiana University Northwest invites all high school students to explore careers in dentistry, including dentist, dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental laboratory technician, at a free camp.
Indiana University Northwest invites all high school students to explore careers in dentistry, including dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental laboratory technician, at a free camp from 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, June 21 at the Dental Education Clinic and laboratory. Teens will learn about dentistry and oral health by exploring the dental clinic and laboratory. Students will have the opportunity to simulate care on dental mannequins:
- Taking impressions
- Polishing and flossing teeth
- Taking X-rays
- Using an intraoral camera
Students will also have the opportunity to learn about oral pathology and radiographic interpretation.
