Silky Sharma, RDH, EdD

Silky Sharma, RDH, EdD, is an associate professor at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois and has been a faculty member since 2010. She has continued to practice dental hygiene, providing patient-centered care at a perio-focused office for more than 22 years. Sharma is a clinic coordinator and provides courses on periodontology for dental hygienists, advanced periodontal instrumentation, Perioscope clinic, scientific literature, pain management, and oral pathology. She presents continuing education programs for dental colleagues nationally and internationally on various topics. A consultant dental hygiene examiner for CDCA, the national dental/dental hygiene competency assessment organization, Sharma has also published articles in peer-reviewed journals and is passionate about teaching and learning from healthcare professionals.
