Nadine Brodala, DDS, MS, Dr med dent, is assistant professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill. She received both a master’s degree and a certificate in periodontology from UNC’s Department of Periodontology after leaving her native Germany. She joined UNC’s faculty in 2002. Her research interests include interplay between systemic conditions and periodontal diseases and new concepts in dental implant therapy
