James D. Nickman, DDS, MS, is president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He also chairs the Minnesota Dental Association political action committee board and sits on the AAPD political action committee board. A fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Nickman maintains a pediatric practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, and teaches part-time at the University of Minnesota.
