Inma LaCross, RDH, BSDH, MS, is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Va, and a practicing dental hygienist. She earned a master's degree in dental hygiene at ODU in 2006. While in graduate school, LaCross completed a study abroad program that took her to Germany where she focused on the German health care system and the status of dental hygienists in Germany. Her thesis research focused on the in vitro comparative evaluation of the reciprocating disposable prophylaxis angle versus rotating disposable prophylaxis angles in extrinsic tooth stain removal effectiveness.
