Dominick P. DePaola, DDS, PhD, ScD (Hon) (Deceased)
Dominick P. DePaola, DDS, PhD, ScD (Hon), is currently president and CEO of the Forsyth Institute and professor of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, both in Boston. DePaola has published more than 75 scholarly articles and chapters in textbooks in addition to editing two texts. He is a national and international lecturer, having spoken at universities, foundations, private corporations, professional organizations, and governmental agencies including the National Institutes of Health. DePaola is well-known for his research on nutrition as it relates to oral health and disease. Currently the immediate past president of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), he was recently named to the AADR's and the American Dental Education Association's (ADEA) newly established National Oral Health Advocacy Committee. In 2005, he received ADEA's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award.
