Timothy J. Hempton, DDS, is an associate clinical professor and interim director of post-doctoral periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and also maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and implantology in Dedham, Massachusetts. Hempton is a member of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Editorial Advisory Board.

Jill Rethman, RDH, BA, has been involved in dental hygiene for more than 30 years, from clinical practice to speaking to publishing. Jill currently serves as the editorial director for Dimensions of Dental Hygiene. She is a visiting clinical instructor of Dental Hygiene at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, an assistant professor at Ohio State University, and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology’s Task Force on Dental Hygiene Education. She is also a featured speaker in the American Dental Association’s Seminar Series. Jill has published extensively in dental hygiene and dental journals as well as textbook chapters. She speaks both domestically and internationally on topics ranging from periodontal updates to patient motivation.
