ANESTHESIA

Jacqueline J. Freudenthal, RDH, MHE, is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Dental Hygiene at Idaho State University in Pocatello. She has more than 30 years of experience in providing patient care and dental hygiene education. Freudenthal currently teaches local anesthesia and restorative procedures and is a graduate faculty member. She is active in research, community outreach, and professional service. Freudenthal has published papers on calibration, interprofessional education, patient motivation and compliance, and pain management. Her professional areas of interest include prevention, risk assessment, local anesthesia administration, and expanded function procedures for dental hygienists.
