Kodak Announces New, Enhanced Features in KODAK SOFTDENT Practice Management Software

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 15-An upgrade to KODAK SOFTDENT Practice Management Software enables dental professionals to operate their practices more efficiently via progressive features offered in the program.  After more than 20 years of listening to dental professionals and enhancing the way they practice, Kodak continues to offer clinicians practice management software built around their needs.

With SOFTDENT Software, Version 12.0, dental practitioners can rely on a full suite of powerful tools which have been developed to provide dentists and their staff with the means to perform daily tasks more efficiently. Office operations become more effortless with easy-to-use, intuitive features that enrich the new version of the software. 

 

Enhancements Included in the Version 12.0 software:

Time Card

Users can track employees’ time for payroll purposes with new time clock icons.  Employees simply click the Clock In and Clock Out icons on the Power Bar to track their time. Easy-to-read Time Card reports can also be generated for payroll and tracking purposes.

Document Review Queue

This new feature enables office team members to mark scanned documents for others to review at their convenience.  The document and the reviewer’s comments can be linked to a patient’s record, making it quick and easy to find patient documents again.

Treatment Plan Management

New enhancements to treatment planning have made management easier.  Tertiary is now available as a treatment plan type, and “diagnosed” and “presented” have been added to the Status list for better tracking.  Users can view the history of all treatment options made available to a patient, both completed and declined, in the Archived Treatment Plan window. 

Patient Visit Statistics Report

Users can identify whether they have run over or fallen short of scheduled appointment time.  The Patient Visit Statistics report now tracks location information entered from the Scheduler, as well as from the InOffice, giving clinicians the flexibility to use either view.  Staff can use this information to help determine which ADA codes might need Time Units adjusted to help improve efficiency in scheduling production times.  The Patient Visit Statistics report can also help determine the office efficiency by identifying patient arrival, wait and operatory times.

Save Merge & Quick Letters

Merge letters and Quick letters automatically save to the patient’s document tree, so they can be easily reviewed or reprinted any time in the future.

Practice Central Advancements

Various enhancements to Practice Central allow users to see unconfirmed appointments, referred patients, patients with multiple appointments and several new scheduling options. You can now print the Practice Central window to have a hard copy for team meetings. 

MEDVISORldental Software Integration

MEDVISOR|dental Software is an add-on module available for dental practices to help increase patient treatment acceptance. This interactive patient education tool visually explains procedures and treatment options, helping to increase patient understanding, and can be accessed from various places in SOFTDENT Software, including the patient’s record, documents and chart.
